Floors Castle Horse Trials
Running within the scenic grounds of Floors Castle, the Horse Trials offer an action packed weekend of dressage, show jumping and cross country. An opportunity to watch some of the country’s top riders as well as Scotland’s rising stars. There will also be a fantastic range of trade stands and food stalls.

Disabled access & facilities: The horse trials are run over very rugged and varied terrain and are therefore not recommended for wheelchair users or those with walking difficulties.

Equestrian Cabaret “The Circus of Spectacles”
Equestrian Theatre show with canapés or afternoon tea.
 
“Circus of Spectacles” is an enchanting series of equestrian theatre shows by Les Amis d’Onno, Scotland’s only Equine-Canine Stunt Team. Costumes, music, lights and magical, enchanting performances by both equines & canines. Enjoy tea & cake at the afternoon showings and canapé snacks and bar at the evening performances.  All housed in our new “Big Top” venue.

Disabled access & facilities: Poor – contact venue for details. Access by well made up farm track, parking and toilet facilities.

From the A68 take the A698 direction Hawick. Turn left for Lanton village 1½ miles along, take the road through Lanton village, continue straight up the hill for ½ mile. Lanton Hill Farm is the first farm track on the right.

Eildon Endurance Ride – organised by Scottish Endurance Riding Club, Borders branch

Starts 10.30am, 20km pleasure ride for non members available both day. Open to riders 10yrs and over.

Borders Endurance riding club welcome you to enter our major Borders event. This is a 2 day event offering a variety of routes and distances. If you are new to the sport of Endurance why not try entering our pleasure ride either on Sat 18th or Sunday 19th May. There is lots of information about Endurance on our website http://www.sercborder.org.uk/ the entry form will be available online nearer the time.
As a rough guide you and your horse need to be fit enough to ride for 3 hours over mixed terrain (mostly trotting).

Horse Logging Demonstration
See working horses in action pulling timber from woodland and meet local horse loggers Caitlin and Rab Erskine with their commercial horse logging team Rhona (Ardennes) and Angel (Cob). Discover how horses continue to play an active role in sustainable forest management.
Entrance by donation to BHL Charitable Trust. Normal car parking charges apply. Booking preferred. Disabled access & facilities limited: phone to discuss requirements.
3pm - 5pm, Glentress Forest (between Peebles & Innerleithen)
