Is Sandals South Coast a good place to stay? ›

Sandals South Coast is often celebrated for its outstanding cleanliness and well-kept grounds, providing a harmonious blend of energetic and peaceful environments. While the rooms boast scenic views and are serviced efficiently, some guests have noted room condition issues.

Off-Peak Season: Late May to September:

Off Peak at Sandals Resorts means lighter crowds and lower prices for rooms. But again the weather can be more rainy or hurricanes in the Caribbean. I travel a to Sandals most of the time on off peak season.

Located on the secluded South Coast of Jamaica, Sandals South Coast is about a 90-minute drive from Sangster International Airport. The journey takes you through winding roads and picturesque Jamaican countryside, showcasing the island's diverse landscapes.

Resort Casual: Shorts or jeans, t–shirts or polo shirts. Swimwear must be covered. Shirts and footwear required. Resort Evening: Dress pants or jeans for men, long or short sleeve dress shirts (with or without collar).

You'll be happy to know that except for butlers; tipping is included, and you won't need to shell out any money for tips while on vacation. The resort handles the tipping, and you're free to enjoy your vacay.

Having traveled to a number of Sandals Resorts, the majority of the guests are in the range of 30 to 40. My wife and I are in our 60's and feel very comfortable there. We always meet couples in their late 40's through 50's. there is always a nice older crowd, but that is the smaller crowd as a percent of guests.

On average, expect the cost of a Sandals vacation to end up somewhere between $4,000 and $7,000 for a 7-night stay, per couple (two adults) - excluding flights. Airport transfers, unlimited (alcoholic) drinks and meals are included in your stay, so you don't have to worry about carrying your wallet around.

Members must have 70 paid nights to be awarded their Free Week Certificate to any Sandals or Beaches. Complimentary, unpaid nights do not count towards the free week. The Free Week certificate is awarded at the weekly Loyalty Dinner.

Sandals South Coast is one of Jamaica's largest and most luxurious all-inclusive resorts. Food and (alcoholic) drinks are all included, all unlimited.

Do you tip at Sandals South Coast? ›

Use cash. On-Resort – Sandals and Beaches follow a strict no-tipping policy with 2 exceptions: butlers and Red Lane Spa attendants. Tipping of butlers is not necessary but when good service dictates, it is encouraged.

The beach at Sandals South Coast (and the rest of the resort) is part of a private nature reserve. As a result, the ocean bottom can be quite rocky (bring water shoes!), but there are plenty of areas where you'll find a sandy spot to float around.
